What are you praying for?

Do you pray? What do you pray for?

For your family, for your health, for your job, for your success, for your school grade, for your relationship...... all about you?

Or for the children in the development countries, for the poor, for unbelievers, for the country, for the sicks...... ?

Well, Jesus said we should seek FIRST his kingdom and his righteousness, AND all these things(what shall we eat? what shall we drink?...)will given to you as well.

Believers should seek first God’s kingdom and righteousness (Mt 6:33)

His kingdom and his righteousness

In whom do Christians believe? What are God’s kingdom and righteousness?

Christians believe in God. God’s kingdom is the kingdom of heaven, and God’s righteousness is God’s will. God wants his kingdom and his righteousness to come and be done on earth as they are done in heaven (Mt 6:10). The holy city New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven from God (Jn 14:3; Rv 4:8; Rv 21:1-3; Rv 3:12), and God will be with it forever. God’s kingdom and righteousness, therefore, are the establishment of this holy city and nation on earth.

The Lord’s Prayer is fulfilled in the following way: When Mt 6:33 says to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, it is telling us to seek God’s coming kingdom. We must also do God’s will on earth as it is done in heaven. Those who believe in the Lord’s word will do as he says. The place where his kingdom is fulfilled and his will is done is Shinchonji—the new heaven and new earth (Rv 21)—and the 12 tribes made up of those who are sealed (Rv 7; Rv 14:1).

To learn more about God’s kingdom, let us see what Jesus promised in the Bible.

The promises Jesus made in the Bible

There is only one God, one Jesus, one Counselor, one Bible, one promised pastor, and one heaven. There is only one place all nations must come and worship (Rv 15:2-5). This is the place Christians must go after the earth is harvested (Rv 14:14-16; Rv 14:1-4). There is only one person who has received the opened scroll (Rv 10), one person with the wisdom to testify about the meaning of Revelation’s prophecies (Rv 1:2; Rv 22:8; Rv 22:16), and only one who overcomes to receive the promises of Rv 2-3.

The fulfillment of the book of Revelation starts with the appearance of the seven stars (seven messengers). These seven messengers receive seven letters (Rv 2-3), and then the events of Revelation unfold with the seven seals (Rv 6; Rv 8:1), the seven trumpets (Rv 8-9; Rv 11:15), the seven bowls of God’s wrath (Rv 16), the wedding of the Lamb, and the first resurrection (Rv 19-20). The first resurrection occurs in the holy city of the millennium.

There are many kinds of people in the world with many kinds of beliefs, but regardless of your nationality or your faith, the Bible and God’s will are united as one. Christians all around the world must come to the promised place (i.e. the new heaven and new earth of Rv 21). They must all wash their robes in the river of the water of life, which flows as clear as crystal from the throne of God. No one can enter the holy city without washing his or her robes (Rv 22:1; Rv 22:14). Today, at the time of Revelation’s fulfillment, things are happening just like in the days of Noah and Lot (Mt 24:37-44; Lk 17:26-35). Only those who believe the promises of the New Testament will receive salvation.
