Alcoholics Anon – SCJ teaching about Wine: Part 3

Wine of Adultery

We saw that Jesus’ word is the new wine God’s people waited for at the first coming and again at the second
Lk 22:18 “For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
We know that there is more than just God’s side in the spiritual realm, there is also Satan, who has been sowing his weeds (untrue words) since the beginning.

Satan’s words show up in Jesus’ prophecy in Matthew 13:14-30, the Parable of the Weeds and the explanation in Matthew 13:37-43. In this parable a man sows good seed and then went away and while everyone was asleep an enemy came and planted weeds (verse 24-28). In the last two verses Jesus explains that weeds will be in the field until the time of the harvest. This story of lies where there should be truth.

This isn’t the first time God told this story. Using the prophet Isaiah God speaks of his vineyard (his people, Israel) where he had planted the best seed and expected good grapes but it yielded only bad (Is 5:1-7). We know through logic and the word that a good seed will only make good plants (Gn 1:11-12), and that good plants bear good fruit (Mt 7:17-18), so how did God’s good seed bear bad grapes? Because of Matthew chapter 13 we know why there are bad grapes! An enemy planted his weeds, his unwanted plants, his untrue words, in the hearts of the God’s people, and those words replaced God’s good word.

4169825395_d73c7ea482_zSkipping back a bit, the parable of the weeds and the wheat is a prophecy for the second coming, so we should see a similar message in Revelation (the book which gives the most detail for the second coming). In Revelation 18:3 we see a character giving out maddening wine. Wine made from bad grapes.
Revelation 18:3 - For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.
This wine represents the same as the bad seed and bad fruit, it is the words of untruth from Satan. These lies have been cleverly disguised as something so appetizing, but all the same we all drank them down… “for all nations”-  That means you, that means me, that means your neighbor down the street. We’ve all been fed lies, but they didn’t look that way at the time.

In Revelation 17 we see that they’re presented in a very appealing way, even though the contents are truly rotten,
She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries.”
Really, the “filth of her adulteries” is not something I would want near me. However, unless you’ve been told what they are, you’d never see it for yourself, all you see is a beautiful golden cup. And once you realize what exactly the lies are that’s when the real challenge begins. The most difficult choice is between staying with what is familiar and disgusting to God but perhaps acceptable to men, and stepping out to what is unfamiliar to men, but given to us by God.

Alcoholics Anon – SCJ teaching about Wine: Part 2

Bottled Words

So what we’ve found from the last post is that Jesus’s word is the WINE. When was the last time you were at a fine restaurant and you asked for a nice aged bottle of Jesus’s words? We know it wasn’t that kind of wine, but what kind of wine was it? We know that a good tree bears good fruit, and Jesus was the true tree, and his fruit was true (Mat 12:33-35). Who is good? Who is true? His words are God’s, we know this not simply because he said so (really, anyone can claim they have a word from God), but because God backed it up with the Old Testament. Have you ever wondered what all those prophecies were for in the Old Testament? For us it’s so easy to look back and see Jesus was the Christ, the one who God sent, but when Jesus first came there was no New Testament or thousands of years saying he was the Messiah. The only word the Jews of that day had, was the Old Testament.

The Old Testament was familiar. The Old Testament was safe. And at the time it wasn’t even “Old” it was simply their scriptures. It explained the covenant they had to obey as given directly by God, written by the hand of God Ex 31:18. As history progressed it also included warnings to them as they lost sight of what God wanted. So they were meant to know and understand this word, to keep it in their heart so they could be obedient. However, it wasn’t long before God’s presence had left them and they didn’t even notice. Wow. So the scripture, that was their word from God, it was their wine. Their wine was comforting and they were used to it, and sure it was strange and parts seemed fantastical but their God was a powerful God and He had chosen them.

Then Jesus. Jesus’s word is the wine, as we found out, but they already had a wine. This had been promised in the Old Testament in Ez3:3-4 that God’s word would come again through the Son of man. All the same, change is difficult and Jesus acknowledges that in the New Testament scriptures, “And no-one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says ‘The old is better.’” Lk 5:39 Change is very difficult, just think of all those unfulfilled New Years resolutions, all those abandoned diet plans and forgotten gym memberships. Jesus knows. It’s not an excuse though. The job at that time was to recognize God’s new word, his new covenant, his new promise through Jesus. In Luke 5 and Matthew 9 the believers of the day are charged to examine their hearts and get rid of the old, be born again, and accept the new word, the new covenant, and new promise of God. It was no longer enough for the people of God to have the old, they must accept the new, after all it is the promised word of God.

Man Hee Lee - SCJ

That’s easy enough for most of us. Likely we didn’t step out of believing strictly the Old Testament into believing both the Old and New. But Jesus promises and warns of another new wine (after all shouldn’t it be a warning? Consider how God’s people did accepting the new wine at the first coming, do you think that you are so different from them?) Did you know that we had that promise? I didn’t, not before it was revealed from the Chairman, the one man who has been given God’s word that Jesus had opened (Rv 5:1-2) at this time (Rv 10:8-10). Nevertheless, even though it was opened now, it has ALWAYS been in scripture and if you were like me you simply read over it as inconsequential, and then like me, unintentionally subtracted from the word of God. It starts out familiarly but pay careful attention to the last sentence I’ve marked in bold.
Mat 26:28-29: This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.
This was a prophecy, and I had skipped over it every time. Jesus is promising a new word at the second coming. Jesus words are true and they are from God. We know God’s kingdom comes at the end times, in fact that’s actually what we’ve been praying for every time we say the Lord’s Prayer (Mt 6:10). When His kingdom comes down to earth, just like it had on Jesus when God’s spirit came to rest on Jesus (Mt 3:16), there will be a new wine.

Well, the scroll has been opened by Jesus and given to the one man, Chairman Man Hee Lee. Although the word may seem new, as Jesus’s words did at the first coming, it is truly the same from God that had been promised even in Isaiah 5:6
Isaiah 5:6: On this mountain the LORD almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine- the best of meats and the finest of wines.
This was a prophecy for the first coming, but in the same pattern the “new” wine, the “new” word, the “new” covenant is really just his plan from the beginning. Ever since man’s betrayal he has been looking for a way to have his people come back to him in obedience and then his kingdom may be fully established. It’s not that God has changed his mind (Num 23:19), instead, now the time is appropriate to bring out the wine God has been planning and leading us to through his words to Moses, through the covenant by Jesus, and now in the opened words of the Chairman. That means at this time there is only one person and only one place where you can find the word of truth being proclaimed. There is one place where you will find the new wine of the second coming, that Jesus will drink “anew” with us – those who follow his word – and it’s up to you to continue to be born again by the word, or to stay with your comfortable old wine.

Alcoholics Anon – SCJ teaching about Wine: Part 1

The ancient topic of wine has always brought on many a heated debate in society, especially religious society. Is drinking “Godly”? Didn’t Jesus encourage it at that one party? or was that not really the same kind of wine we know today? Was it really wine or was it grape juice?

SCJ True Wine

How much wine should we really drink? [Eph 5:18 , Prv 23:19-30] With the untrained knowledge [Job 32:83, Psalm 119:73, Prov 20:24] one could easily assume that we should just stay away from wine altogether, and I know many Christians who prefer to do this, as the line is so very blurred today as to what exactly is okay and what isn’t. However, instead of just avoiding the topic or the complications of having to answer clearly regarding what God’s word truly says, wouldn’t it be wise to understand fully. We are told in 1 Pet 3:15-16 that we should be able to give an answer to anyone who asks us about the reason for our faith – and that includes our actions and knowledge as well, as we know that faith, knowledge and actions are all directly related.

So, jokes aside, why did Jesus turn water into wine at a wedding celebration (Jn 2)? How does this line up with what it tells us about not drinking wine or being drunk?… Colossians 2:16 says: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day – this raises another interesting side to the story.

The Lord clearly gives us warning against the dysfunctional problem of being “drunk”, but then in the same book, the book that he wrote to teach us about him, and to lead us back to him, he says that he himself will drink wine in God’s kingdom, Mt 26:29. Does this mean God is contradicting himself? Is God one to change his mind, is he a liar, or does he perhaps suffer from the human disease of amnesia? This is certainly not the case, as we all know (Num 23:19, 2 Tim 2:13, Mal 3:6, 1 Sam 15:29). Yet it still begs the question… what is God really telling us?

Let’s think about this logically for a moment, since our God is after all a God of order, and logic as clearly visible through this creation (Rom 1:20, Job 25:2).
Since God is love and his ways are higher than our (Is 55:8-9), we need to delve a little bit deeper into his word and obtain the true understanding of the meaning behind his teachings to become more like him.(Jn 1:1) We need to understand what Our Father God is showing us through his parables and promises, through the secrets that he has hidden in the word (Mt 13:11). Don’t you agree?

So, then what is WINE? and why is drinking such a controversial topic in Christianity…?
A good place to start when trying to understand wine, would be the looking at its origin. Where does wine come from?
GRAPES!! which, of course, are FRUIT that grow from the branches of a VINES.
Jn 15:1~6: I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine-dresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
Jesus refers to himself as the TRUE VINE. First off How can a person be a vine? Also how can He bear fruit? Clearly this is figurative, but then what is the true meaning of it all? This is the time today in which we can come to understand these things clearly, just as jesus promised us we would be able to in John 16:25
“Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.”
Here are the questions… I’m sure you would have had no problem coming up with enough questions of your own, all on your own. But it is today, with the testimony of our promised servant of God, Chairman Lee Man Hee, that we can clearly understand the answers to all of our seemingly unending list of questions.

Please check in again, as we will go through the answers to these questions, step by step. I pray that god would give us all eyes to see and ears to hear what he has to say to the churches and his children in this generation.  A good place to consider when answering these questions about wine is at the Parable of the Tenants in Matthew 21:33-46, Mark 12:1-12 and Luke 20:9-19. Give this parable some of your time and attention, read through it, and lets answer our questions concerning our Father in heaven, and his plan for us, by always using God’s word of truth.

The Time of the Second Coming which is Like the Times of Noah and Lot.

The Time of the Second Coming which is
Like the Times of Noah and Lot

Main reference: Luke 17:22-30

What does it mean when the scriptures say, one will not see the days of the Son of Man although they may long to see it, and the days of the Son of Man will be like the days of Noah and Lot?

One will be unable to see the days of the Son of Man, although they long to see it, because in the second coming the Lord will come as a spirit. The days of the Son of Man will be like the days of Noah and Lot because judgment will occur suddenly, just as it took place in the days of Noah and Lot. During the time of the judgment, it was only eight people in Noah's family and three people in Lot's family who were saved. The world was quiet. People were eating, drinking, selling, buying, marrying, and giving in marriage. Nothing was different from an ordinary life, but the judgment suddenly began. The scriptures, therefore, speak about how it will be the same in the time of the second coming.

The reason why people were judged during those times was because of the corruption and the betrayal of the previous or first heaven. The main reference in the New Testament refers to the corruption of the Spiritual Israelites at the time of the Lord's second coming. They are judged because of their acts of betrayal. Looking back on the reality of the Spiritual Israelites, which have lasted for the past 2,000 years, there is no one who truly knows God and the Bible. It is not easy to find people who believe in the Bible. Despite such corruption, people claim they are the orthodoxy, and they have attained salvation and the holy spirit. They treat others who are not part of their own organizations as heretics. Is this the command of the Lord?

Today's churches have formed an enormous organization, and it has turned into the marketplace where people buy and sell authority. According to Matthew 24, the temple of the chosen people was sabotaged and destroyed by the gentiles. Those who belong to heaven went dark and fell, just as the sun, moon, and stars go dark and fall from the sky. The scriptures also explain how the destroyer stands in the holy place and reigns over people. Revelation 13 and 18 portrays the fact the chosen people have been captured by the gentiles, and they have received the mark from the gentile pastors of Satan and worshiped them. Furthermore, all nations have fallen because of Satan's wine of adulteries. Can anyone say they have already gained salvation and are the orthodoxy? People neither seem to care about their corruption and sin, nor do they know the new covenant established through the blood and the word of the Bible. Today, Spiritual Israel has merely turned into the world of leaders, who are oppressing their congregation members with the authority they have exchanged with one another.

If one truly believes in God and his word, the Bible, they must at least consider the words which say the days of the second coming will be like the days of Noah and Lot, and they must reflect upon these words themselves. The reality, however, is believers are not concerned with those words in the scriptures. But instead, they have so much ignorance and arrogance within them, don’t they? How can they claim to believe in God and the Bible?

If the scriptures make references to the end times or the end of the age, believers should have thought at least once of whose end it refers to. If it was the Tabernacle Temple in heaven which fell, believers should have known the end referred to the end of the religious world, not of the world of non-believers. If one has acted according to their own will for the sake of money and authority, how heavy their punishment will be!

Several places in the Bible predicted the end of Christianity. They speak about how the first heaven and first earth will disappear. It speaks of how the second heaven, the new heaven and new earth will be created after the first heaven (the Spiritual Israelites). If one is a true believer, they will attentively listen to the word of the Bible and will not conduct any wickedness. Today's pastors and the congregation members, however, have betrayed God and the word, and they have become one with the devil. Are they not persecuting the returning Lord once again?

This is the act of sin which appears at the time of the second coming, just like at the times of Noah and Lot. Is this not the reality of the chosen people of the first heaven, the Spiritual Israelites? Have they not become evil men just like the Physical Israelite at the first coming?

This generation approves of any words from a religious organization which has seized authority, and it sides with that organization. Knowing the enormous size of this organization, even the authority figures in the world have affiliated with them, and they despise and look down upon the poor and the minority. Nevertheless, God is righteous. There will be judgment just like in the days of Noah and Lot. Even if it is a small group, God will still acknowledge righteous faith. If one does not believe in God's word of promise and does not even make an effort to know it, and if they put men's words above God's words, and oppress others to believe in men's words, they will certainly not escape being judged.

If one believes in the word of the Lord, which says today is like the days of Noah and Lot, they will be able to know what is taking place today.

We have seen the beginning and the end of Adam's world in the Bible. We have also seen the beginning and the end of the world (Canaan) of Noah, the ninth descendant of Adam. Through the time of the first coming, we have witnessed the beginning and the end of the world of the Israelites, the descendants of Abraham, who was also the tenth descendant of Noah.

The Spiritual Israelites originated from Jesus, and the era of the gospel of the Spiritual Israelites has lasted for the past 2,000 years. What was promised as the new covenant in the gospel of heaven, which Jesus and his disciples have preached for approximately 2,000 years? It has been promised in the gospel, the Spiritual Israelites and the gospel will come to an end through the second coming of the Lord, and the era of the new Spiritual Israel will launch. The events which occur during this transition of the eras are described to be synonymous as the events during the days of Noah and Lot. This very word also makes known how there will be the betrayal of the chosen people, the destruction by the gentiles, judgment, salvation, and re-creation. Believers in this current world are not interested in these events. Why aren’t they interested in them? It is because they have betrayed and have been tainted by the gentiles just like Adam and the Physical Israelites. At the time of the Lord's second coming, this current era will be judged and brought to an end. A new era and a new kingdom, the twelve tribes of the priests and the great multitude dressed in white, are promised to be created through the blood. All of these are promised through blood as a covenant, and these are the words of the promise in the New Testament. The saints who perceive, see, and believe in this will attain salvation. The only place of salvation is Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony.

[SCJ Quote] Gratitude

"The sun, moon, stars, clouds, and wind are found in the heavens.
Light, rain, and air are constantly provided from the sky
to all the creatures on the earth.
The sad fact is that, although the inhabitants of earth cannot survive without these things, they live without thought of gratitude for what they receive."

The Man of Heaven & the Man of the Earth.

The Man of Heaven & the Man of the Earth

Main references: Phil 3:20-21 (Jn 15:18-27)

How is the man of heaven different from the man of the world (earth)?

The man of heaven is born of heaven through the seed of God. His image is like God and in His likeness (Gn 1:26). It is like the transformed image of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration (
refer to Mt 17). On the other hand, the man of the world is born from the world, the earth. His image is the image of the earth, the likeness of flesh.

The one born of heaven speaks and listens to the words of heaven, whereas the one born of the world speaks and listens to the words of the world. This is the difference between the one born of heaven and the one born of the world, the earth. Jesus, the son of God, referred to himself as the way, the truth, and the life (Jn 14:6). He also stated no one could come to the father except through this way, truth, and life. According to 1John 1, the word in the beginning is Jesus. It says in John 1:1-4, the way, truth, and life is the word of God. Jesus is with God (Rv 3:21), and it is only through Jesus, who is the way, truth, and life, people can go to the Father. Jesus himself becomes the way and the bridge which allows people to go to God. Without Jesus, there is no way, no truth, no life, and no bridge.

Paul said in Romans 8, "If anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ." In addition to this word, it says in Revelation 3:20, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." These scriptures show who is the one whom the spirit of Christ is with. If Christ is with someone, that person will also know the way and the truth just like Christ. He becomes someone who is led by the Lord, and he becomes the word just like Jesus. People's superficial claims of believe is a part from the will of Christ. Those people are nothing but outsiders.

The difference of heaven and the world is enormous, and so is the difference between the sons of God and the daughters of the earth. Their very origins are different: the seed of heaven and the seed of the earth, the world. If someone who is born of the seed of heaven betrays, becomes part of the earth, and unites with the daughters of the earth, then he becomes the same as the earth, that is, mere flesh, just like Adam. The origins of the man of heaven and the man of the earth differ because of their seed. The one born of the earth loves the world; he will listen to the words of the world and follow the world. The one born of heaven, in contrast, loves heaven, which is the kingdom of heaven; he will listen to the words of heaven and follow heaven.

Jesus said in Matthew 23, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those who sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate." A hen receives the seed of the rooster, lays eggs, and gathers them. She incubates those eggs for 21 days and then hatches and protects them. She also makes sure her chicks follow her through her own voice, and protects them. She looks for food to feed her chicks and knows and recognizes each of her chicks' voices, and raises them. Chicks, too, recognize their mother hen's voice and follow her. If the mother hen is out of their sight, they look for her. The mother hen, who knows the voices of her chicks, quickly runs to her chicks when they call out to her. Chicks know their own mother, look for her, and only follow her. The mother hen protects her chicks, feeds and raises them. On a cold night, the mother hen gathers her chicks under her wings to protect them. The chicks go under the wings of their mother or sometimes they go up on the back of their mother. Jesus, just like a mother hen who lost her chicks, was trying to gather us several times, but people, who were worse than chicks, were not willing according to Jesus' word. Will people ever know that they are actually worse than chicks?

God spoke with a grieving heart in Isaiah 1 when He said, "Hear, O heaven! Listen, O earth! I reared the children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me. The ox knows his master, the donkey his owner's manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand." He continued, saying, "Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their back on him." God also had Jeremiah record the same story in the book of Lamentations. People sinned just as Adam had sinned. If people are captured by the spirit of the devil, their mentality change
s.

According to what is recorded in Revelation 13, 17, and 18, the events of the Lord's second coming (today), the Spiritual Israelites betrayed the Lord and followed the pastors of the gentile spirits. In fact, it is all nations which have committed such actions. All nations fell by eating the fruit of the kingdom of demons, in other words, by drinking the wine of adulteries. All nations also married the devil. This shows how they have become one with the devil instead of being one with God. At a time like this, the messenger who speaks on behalf, the one sent by the Lord, comes to the place where the people are held in captivity. He delivers the people and calls them out of this place, harvesting them like a thief. This is the work of salvation, which leads people from death to life at the time of the second coming. Aren’t all the pastors of the nations today persecuting the messenger who speaks on behalf, going against him with every possible means at their disposal, just like at the time of the first coming? Despite such work of persecution, one person overcomes, and the Lord, who is the way, truth, and life, is with the one who overcomes. Because the Lord is with him, the one who overcomes is able to fulfill the New Testament and establish the 12 tribes, the new kingdom of God, and he is also able to judge Babylon, the kingdom of the devil.

Up to this point, the actions of betrayal which occurred in the times of the Old and New Testaments, and in the times of the first and the second comings, have been examined.

How can those who have become one with the devil recognize God and the one sent by God? Only those who receive the revelation (i.e. the revealed word) will be able to recognize them. God said in John 10, "His sheep follow him (the pastor) because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice." Depending on who people are born from, they are destined to follow the masters who gave them birth. The one who knows Jesus' voice will open up his heart and accept it, but those who do not know his voice, the ones who belong to a stranger, will not follow Jesus' voice. Today the one born of God's seed will listen and follow the voice of Jesus, the voice of the holy spirit of truth. The word of the New Testament, the Bible, is the voice of Jesus.

Men's words come out of the denominations which were founded and named by men. The temple of heaven, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, on the other hand, was created and named by heaven itself. God dwells in this temple, and His word of life comes out of it. That which is created according to the word of the Bible (the promise) is an object of heaven, just like the tabernacle created in Moses' time. All things, except for the tabernacle previously mentioned, the pastors of the world created and named after their own will are nothing but the things of the world.

Where can God’s kingdom be found and which of these people is is God's people?

Let us attain salvation by believing in the God of truth, and let us become the citizens of heaven.

Amen.
